Sam Gelfand

Sam Gelfand is a junior at Gahr High School; S=she is a fun loving, random, animal person. Gelfand is respectful, courteous and loyal. She is always loyal to her friends, no matter what happened, she will be there for her friends when they need her. Gelfand loves animals, any kind because they all love her; she has actually never met an animal that hasn’t liked her. Like this one time she took a field trip to a race track and got a tour of the stables and she had to stop at every stall because they kept neighing and stomping their hooves. Gelfand loves just hanging out or even playing tag at lunch. Although she can be a spoiled brat sometimes, her parents taught her how to be courteous and respectful and she can be when it is needed. She knows how to act properly when it is necessary even if her behavior would normally say otherwise. Gelfand is an awesome friend and also loves animals; she can be respectful but also a brat and she loves just having fun with her friends.

Ariane Andrada

Ariane Andrada was born in Manila Philippines in august 7, 1996. When she was 8 years old, she moved to california with her dad, they lived with their extended family in Long Beach. She started school right away and learned to read, speak english. She meet new people and made new friends. Aside from her family and school, she enjoyed playing soccer, dancing, going out, and listening to music. She finished elementary and middle school in Long Beach then she moved to cerritos and attends Gahr High School.

Jake Jimenez

Jake jimenez is currently a Senior at Gahr High School. He is currently active in the Gahr Theater program. He has been involved with more than six productions. After his days in high school are over he wishes to go to college in order to pursue in a career in writing, mainly poetry. He is also a frequent musician. He was involved with marching band for five years before disbanding from that during his freshmen year. Jake is also very much so into extreme sports. He enjoys motocross, wakeboarding, BMX, as well as freestyle-motocross. Jake is also an avid song writer and poet. He enjoys days where he gets to read and write for the majority of his day. During his last year of schooling he plans to write for the “Gahr Forum” and be very active in theater and music. What’s in store for this this young composer of life? We shall soon Find out.

Hilda Arechiga

Her name is Hilda Arechiga and she is a senior at Gahr High School. SHe lives in Artesia, California with there parents and her two younger sisters. She is in the school band and plays the alto saxophone. She loves to ride her bike around spending time with her friends and going to the beach. When she graduates high school, she’s planning to go to CSULB to major in sociology and chicano studies.

Kamani Falls

Michael Escalante

Michael Escalante is a junior at Richard Gahr High School. His father being an English teacher, it is no surprise that Escalante has taken an interest in writing. Escalante joined the Gahr Forum to better hone in his writing abilities with the unique experience the newspaper will bring him. Escalante’s interests also lie with entertainment with him being a lover of other film and television. He one day hopes to find a career writing within the entertainment industry.

Araceli Guzman

Finally a senior, Araceli Guzman is awaiting a fun and eventful year with the new staff on the Forum. She is a kind, caring, and endearing soul who loves to try everything life has on its dish. Despite her fear of bugs, she would never harm a fly. Her hobbies include reading, dancing, singing, writing, and spending time with her family. SHe loves to entertain people and help those in need. As a previous member of the Forum, she has enjoyed her time on the staff and is looking forward to another great year in Journalism.

Luisa Paredes

Luisa is a girl who is in 9th grade. She was born in Lima, Peru. Her favorite hobbies are dancing, playing volleyball, listening to music, and volunteering at a local shelter (SPCALA). She has gone to many T.V. audience shows like Americas Got Talent and The Voice. She loves to help people and animals. Her goal is to make a better tomorrow one step at a time.

Jose Fonseca

Jose Fonseca is a very interesting person that likes to play sports, video games, chill with friends and what all teen-agers like to do. He is a person that likes to talk to people (to be social) and likes to have fun with anyone either if it’s a friend or not. He likes to eat pretty much everything, but what he mostly likes to eat ins pizza and of course ice cream. His favorite sport is soccer, he is pretty good at it and has played since he was a little kid. He can be very trustful person and u can count on him whenever u need to.

Sandy Gad is a sophomore at Gahr High. A few interesting facts about her are that she is Egyptian; She cannot cook even if her life depended on it, she is a face book addict, and yet she somehow manages to get decent grades. Music is her drug and she adores shopping! She hopes to be a therapist when and to make that dream come true at UCLA! Her family means the world to her and she loves to make them proud! She loves to eat basically everything; she doesn’t care where it come from or what it is. She is that kind of person who is willing to try anything new. She is trying to enjoy high school to the fullest and would love to graduate Gahr with no regrets.
